Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME generic top-level domain name extension is the sole TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domains can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other designations people are famous by. At first, solely 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to reserve john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Existing 3rd-level names remained working.

Through our company, you can obtain your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to correct the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our company if you acquire its EPP transfer key from the current registration service provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. There are no special regulations on who can buy a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the goal behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.
