A catch-all mailbox is one that gathers all the emails sent to inactive email addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss messages because the other party has an out-of-date address or has made a spelling error. The disadvantage of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of spam email messages, but this problem can be fixed using anti-spam filtering software. It is also crucial to remember that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect inbound email messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

Creating a catch-all e-mailbox will be incredibly easy in case you have a hosting plan with our company. You can activate this feature through our advanced, yet intuitive Email Manager tool, which is an integral part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll administer your web hosting account. You’ll see all the email addresses that you have created enumerated alphabetically and next to each of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will quickly show you whether a specific mailbox receives all the email messages for a certain domain name or not. With one single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this option whenever you wish. In case there’s active email forwarding or in case some other mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a specific domain, you will get an alert from our system. The latter will not deactivate/replace anything automatically or without your approval.
