There are many ways to forward website visitors from one domain/website to another. The so-called URL redirection is oftentimes preferred. In contrast to parking a domain address, a URL forwarding is feasible only if the domain name in question is hosted. What this means essentially is that you could still open any content if you have a direct link to it and you could set up e mail addresses or subdomains and use them. Such a feature has several practical uses - if you decide to switch your domain address, you could forward the site visitors, but the e-mail messages with the old one shall still be active in the event that you are getting in touch with clients or partners. If you have two similar Internet sites and you want to rebuild one of them, you may redirect the site visitors to the other website to prevent losing potential clients, while you'll still be able to access the administration area for the first Internet site and improve it.

URL Redirector in Hosting

The Hepsia Control Panel, included with our hosting plans, includes a URL forwarding tool that will allow you to redirect any domain name or subdomain hosted within your account to any URL - inside your account or a third-party one. Creating a new redirection is very uncomplicated - you need to select a domain/subdomain and then type in the URL it has to be forwarded to. You can also forward a specific subfolder only. For instance, if you have your-domain.com and your-domain.com/es, you could forward only the latter. The tool has advanced options for more tech-savvy users as well, like the possibility to choose the redirection type - 301 (permanent redirection) or 302 (temporary redirection), the redirection method - direct or match, and so forth. If you no longer need a redirection, you could disable it with a click from the same section of the CP.
